“Last week, when you got really drunk…” Wei Ying starts, still looking intently at the screen as he executes combo after combo to knock Lan Zhan's character their his feet, and Lan Zhan already wants to run away. “You said you've never kissed before… Do you want to? I mean, kiss?”
Lan Zhan's finger suddenly slips off of the left stick so hard he almost breaks it. His character freezes in place, no longer moving, and Wei Ying takes this opportunity to defeat Lan Zhan's character for the nth timer.
Lan Zhan turns his head in Wei Ying's direction, and the only thing he can force himself to say is “what?"

Just when he finishes placing his notebook in the most unsuspecting way possible, he notices something on Lan laoshi's desk from the corner of his eye. He intends to ignore it, he really does, but it's hot pink, and Lan Jingyi really loves the color pink. It's hard to ignore. When his eyes land on the pink object on Lan laoshi's desk, his eyes almost pop out of his sockets.
On his desk is a heart-shaped, hot pink sticky note, stuck to the cover of a hardback book that Lan Jingyi doesn't even bother to check out. In very fine handwriting, it says, “Meet me in the parking lot after school? ♡”

Gulping, he reaches out to take the book from his hands and stares some more at the boy as he sits down on the chair he pulled out. “Hi! Do you mind if I sit here?”
Lan Zhan looks at the boy, at the chair that he now occupies, and back at the boy. “You're already sitting.” Fortunately, his voice does not come out as a pathetic, squeaky thing.
The boy throws his head back and laughs, too loud for the place they're in. Lan Zhan's glare does not shut him up and only makes the boy laugh harder. “Sorry, sorry!” The boy wipes around his eyes, trying to quieten his giggles. “I just saw that you were sitting alone and thought I should say hi. You're new, right? I'm Wei Ying!”
