Summary
Sanemi has been caring for his siblings for as long as he can remember, odd jobs, bills and fatigue swallows him everyday but he still stands with the intention of protecting those he cares for. All changes when Genya decides that the archery club is what he needs and there’s suddenly no one to take care of the kids while Sanemi and his mother go make a living.
A solution appears in the form of Tomioka Giyuu, a weird and stoic guy he shared classes with since he entered high school. After ongoing accidental encounters, Giyuu suddenly pops up in his home with an extensive background and incredibly low rates.
Or
Sanemi and Giyuu help each other out in ways neither of them believe possible. They learn to love at the same time too.

Summary
It all started with a stupid Halloween party. All they did was hook up at a party neither of them wanted to attend, and yet somehow they found themselves falling into a dangerous, comfortable routine. Sanemi made it clear he wasn’t looking for a relationship, and Giyuu was fine with that, or so he thought. If they agreed it wasn’t going to be anything more than a friends with benefits situation, why did their hearts tend to flutter at the thought of each other? Why did everything they found out about the other only blur the line between hooking up and intimacy?
It would only get harder the more they learned to trust each other, the stronger their bond became, and the longer they continued to dance around unspoken words. Only time would tell how much longer the two of them could deny their true feelings, or more so, how long it'd take Sanemi to admit it to himself.

Summary
Giyuu has been trying really hard to befriend Sanemi for weeks. He chose to pursue the wind hashira on a whim, to prove he could make him change his opinion on him, just like a kid that chooses to adopt the feral stray cat that looks like it might dig its paws into your skull if you try to approach it, hoping the attitude is just fear disguised as anger and it can be soothed with a loving hand. Giyuu's made him ohagi, he's brought him beetles from his garden, he's been sparring with him often and he's talked to him more openly. None of it seemed to work, though.

Summary
Times like this, quiet moments at the edge of evening, Genya's absence was like a rock sitting on his chest, choking all air. There was an almost self-flagellating pleasure in staying in Genya's room, in such proximity to where he'd spent his life. Not dissimilar to the stinging satisfaction he used to feel when slicing into his own skin during a fight to use his marechi.
Now, there was no comfort in the heavy realization of all he'd never see again. All he'd never know about the little brother who had spent his life chasing after him, just trying to be known. He balled his hands into fists.

After Infinity Castle, the death of his brother and his everything, Sanemi tries to follow the last instructions Genya left for him. Giyuu, who understands exactly what it's like to lose your everything, and with some phantom pain of his own, tries to help him live on with the unthinkable. Taking care of the newly Kocho-less Butterfly Girls is a start; Sanemi is a skilled big-brother after all. As Sanemi and Giyuu fight through the pain of absence they realize they've found more in each other's presence than either was ready for.

Summary
Sanemi and Giyuu were a lot of things. They were colleagues, their respective titles the most interwoven of any other duo within the magazine — maybe second to Tengen and Kyoujurou. They were friends against all odds, overcoming a one-year period of misunderstandings that paved a road to hatred. They were partners in business and in life.
But they weren’t soulmates. And therein lies the problem.
