With Eddie having moved back to El Paso, Buck spirals, feeling like he's struggling to stay afloat. That all comes to head when he gets into a near death experience, feeling like he doesn't have something to fight for, so he doesn't. But the next thing he knows, he's in a hospital room, still alive, not sure of what he's feeling. But as soon as he notices Eddie by his side, his thoughts become a little clearer.

Summary
It may be 2024 but Omega's (especially male) are still treated like second class citizens.
Evan Buckley spent his childhood dreaming of being a firefighter, a profession that as an omega isn't open to him. Buck feels like he hasn't got a place in the world until Carla calls him to L.A to take a job as a male live in Omega caregiver.
