Summary
“God,” Dream murmurs, “come here.” And then he’s pulling George close, right into the warmth of his sweater-clad chest, and George goes willingly. “Too far,” Dream says, burying the words into George’s stomach. “Being at the other end of the table was too far—”
“I know,” George says, grasping onto the back of Dream’s sweatshirt and pushing his cheek against Dream’s hair. “I’ll stay next to you tomorrow, ‘kay?” And Dream nuzzles at George’s shirt.
“Please—”
“Not gonna go far,” George whispers. “I promise.”
[Or, Dream’s overwhelmed at TwitchCon and worrying after his first panel, and George holds him close.]

Summary
“People are going to wonder where you are,” Dream points out, brow furrowing.
“Well, they can keep wondering.” George grins, moving to run his fingers through Dream’s curls and laughing softly when he leans up into the touch. “Stop worrying so much about people making assumptions. They already are, but who cares?”
or; George and Dream have never been the best at subtlety.

Summary
He was born for this, George thinks for probably the thousandth time, watching the way Dream’s eyes keep darting between George and their daughter, like he wants to focus on one thing but he’s torn between both, that he wants to keep the two people he loves most in his line of sight at all times.

Summary
George knows that Dream isn't lying when he says he loves him. It's just not the same kind of love. And Dream has learned to understand George’s affection without it being put into words. There’s no more goading, only light teasing that gets swept away the moment it might cross a line.
Things are better now. George tells himself that should be enough.
It's not enough.
[or, george falling in love with dream a million times over]
