Summary
“Speak it.” Gopher Wood demanded, firm yet quiet. “Aloud.”
How Sunday loathed the command. Gopher Wood was always so keen on making him speak in these moments of isolation. Even though each time the act began, Sunday could feel himself start to float away. Like water in a thirsty beggar's palm, Sunday tried to keep hold of his drifting mind enough to respond.
“If our God is not privy to our existence, it means we…we are truly alone.”

Summary
For quite some time, Sunday and Blade have been living in relative peace and serenity, after the events that both brought them together and plagued them.
But even when such obvious demons have been defeated, not everything between them can be perfect...of course, it can certainly get close, can't it?
- Sequel to my previous fic, Where Flowers Brush Against Feathers, but it's not 100% required reading. More of a series of bonus chapters, or extended epilogue.

Summary
Sacrifice is not easy, or else it is no true sacrifice.
Sunday repeated that over and over in his head. Perhaps it wasn’t fair, or right. Falling back on the lessons his father had taught…given how his father had ended up, perhaps it wasn’t wise at all to repeat those words.
Had those words always been intended to control him? Sometimes he considered it, and then he had to toss them aside, because they were far too fundamental to how he viewed the world, and himself.
Sacrifice was essential. You had to be willing to give for others. If everyone was of such a mindset, wouldn’t this flawed universe become the paradise he craved? Sunday could not disregard such thoughts, nor such ideals.
And yet…wasn’t this perhaps…a bit much?
--
Sunday dresses as a bride, to hopefully solve the mystery of missing brides plaguing a mountain town. Yet, through this rather humiliating ordeal, he meets a strange, enigmatic man, blossoming with the scent of blood, and freshy grown flowers.

Summary
“An angel? You’re having nightmares about an angel?”
Kafka sounds a little confused. Ren couldn’t blame her. Her expression shifts back into bland, unassuming patience.
“Angels,” she muses. “A symbol of purity, innocence, goodness… Sometimes mercy. Sometimes even death itself. It’s not so surprising that you’d dream of one, A-Ren, but you seem to dislike the role that angel played. In your dream, it seemed to be…mm, a symbol of forgiveness. Do you detest the idea of being forgiven that much?”
(In which Ren tries to live a normal life, avoiding that certain being that keeps a close, unsettling watch. This might have something to do with what happened during his stay at the mental health facility.)
