His heart pounded. The heavy, suffocating numbness that had paralysed him for three years shattered like glass. His blood sang. And as he watched the boy's dark eyes narrow in fierce, deadly concentration, a completely different, entirely inappropriate kind of heat flushed through Satoru's veins.
He's gorgeous, Satoru thought, dodging another lethal strike. Fucking incredible.

The last time they spoke to each other was the night before he and Yuuji left Japan.
Megumi had confessed having feelings for him and tried to kiss him, but luckily he was quick enough to dodge it. He remembers laughing it off so the kid wouldn’t feel so embarrassed, but the devastated look on Megumi’s face…
Satoru may have been resolute in distancing himself from Megumi then, but he feels terrible now after realizing how long he’s managed to do so.
Or, the inevitable guilt after rejecting someone's feelings.

Good fic but poorly tagged. it's not temporary unrequited love because they never get together in the end. megumi falls in love with some random oc. it should also have the open ending tag.
