Summary
He stepped forward determinedly. His eyes blazed with emotion. “You are my greatest friend, Tahli, and the object of all my desires,” he growled. “And every moment I spend in your presence is a battle, because I want nothing more than to make you mine. But it would not be right, and so I cannot. No matter how much I—” he faltered, raking a shaking hand through his hair. “No matter how much I love you,” he whispered.
Ka’tahli gaped at him. “You love me?” she breathed.
“I do,” he said.
Estinien visits Ka’tahli after rescuing her from the battle at Ghimlyt Dark. A much-needed talk is had, confessions are made, and permission is given.

Summary
Estinien paused. “Is something wrong?” As he spoke, Ka’tahli felt the rumble of his voice at her back, and his breath hot against her ear. She felt his leg, hovering between her own, nearly close enough to touch. She felt his hands, rough and warm, guiding her arms into the correct position. A shiver went down her spine.
She swallowed. “No, nothing’s… nothing’s wrong. I, um… what are you doing?” Her voice sounded strained, even to her own ears.
“I’m adjusting your stance,” he said, like it was the most obvious thing in the world. He lowered his voice, gentle and a tad husky. “Would you like me to stop?”
The night before their negotiations with Hraesvelgr, Ka’tahli doubts her strength, feeling powerless in the face of such a formidable foe. Estinien would remedy that.

Summary
“Daeron,” she mused. “I hope you are finding the festivities to your liking.”
“Very much so, Your Highness,” he answered. “Though it is all new to me, I should say.” Her interest seemed piqued at that. “Are you not from Eglador?” she asked. Daeron chuckled, his lips quirking in amusement. “You are very sharp, Princess. Nay, I was not born here. I have dwelt in this kingdom as the king’s minstrel for little more than a month.”
“And how do you find it? Eglador, I mean.” Daeron paused. He must consider his words carefully, here. Any misstep and surely he would find himself without a title—or a head. “It is wonderful,” he said simply, and it was the truth. “I find the forest nearby to be especially enchanting. The beauty of nature is incomparable to all—” He swallowed, the words catching in his throat. “All except you, I find.”
A collection of moments between Daeron and Lúthien through the years.

Summary
So, Music Bank. It’s what Sunghoon does to keep himself sane, and to cope with the loneliness that sometimes accompanies the feeling of being surrounded by people you love so deeply. There’s a refreshing sort of detachment in his relationship with Wonyoung, and any commitment he has to her, any commitment he could make to her, wouldn’t be the same as that which he has with his members.
“Oppa,” Wonyoung says. She looks down and fiddles with the straw of her drink. “You don’t have to tell me if you aren’t comfortable, but I was wondering…”
She trails off, looking a bit guilty and embarrassed. “It’s okay, you can ask,” Sunghoon reassures her. A lot of people have asked in the past week, and for the first time, he feels completely relaxed, as if the moment isn’t real and for once there aren’t consequences. “I don’t mind, it’s just you.”
Wonyoung squeezes her carton of milk. “The rumors… are they true?”

Summary
“Listen buddy, why don’t we get that giant coat off you, maybe find a place to sit down and I can buy you a bottle of icy cold-- hey!”
The man abruptly twists back around, immediately disappearing around the corner of the far opening.
Peter sighs and swings himself up into the air, vowing to come back and do a patrol of the area later, just in case the man really could use his help. The alley falls back into silence and shadows in his wake.
Nobody’s there to notice the black puddle is now mysteriously gone.

Summary
He’s been trying to stay focused. He’s been trying to stay focused by keeping himself distracted. He’s been getting information from Rhodey about the stray new hero here and there, and there’s one Rhodey brought to him the other day that Tony has to follow up on, that 240p YouTube video the two of them watched together. What the hell was the name? He stood out, and if Tony was more clear-headed, he’d remember.
He’s searching for the information on a Thursday evening, and that’s when he gets the e-mail about the bed and breakfast. A bed and breakfast that sits on a plot of land that Obie was fighting to take from the owners thirty or so years back, and now, thirty or so years later, the new owners are contacting Tony to sell. Want to move on, the place is past its prime anyway.
And maybe ‘slightly haunted’.
“Slightly haunted,” Tony says, the next day, sitting across the table from Happy at the cafe in the tower. He takes a bite of his scone and tries to hide his keen interest.

Summary
Frantically, he begins wiping off every inch of gore on him, scrubbing his skin raw as his shoulders shake around him. Pulpy flesh smears away onto the material and it feels the same as his old school blazer did — but the more he thinks about that the harder it is to breathe, so Tommy stops. Focuses back on just trying to get the blood off, gasping breaths bubbling up from the lump in his throat.
—
Or; the apocalypse doesn’t do wonders for Tommy’s streaming career.

Dream had always been a devout believer in the idea of “true love.” The evidence did not support him.
