Summary
On Harry's 10th birthday, he falls gravely ill. So ill that the Dursleys, after days of leaving the boy in agony, are forced to take him to the hospital. When Muggle medicine fails, Severus Snape is the one to answer the call for aid. He soon realizes that all he has been told of the boy's 'pampered', 'loved' and 'spoiled' life have been utter fabrications.
When Severus sees the depths to which Albus Dumbledore is willing to sink to play games with their lives, he decides he must protect the boy from the Headmaster, before it is too late.

will byers and mike wheeler were best friends for a total of 13 years. one could say they were inseparable. one night, something happens that breaks their bond clean in half, to the point where they haven't spoken to each other since. no one knows what happened, or why they never made up.
it's been 7 years since that night - that fight - and will is working in a flower shop of his own design, where he gets to spend his time painting, sketching, or arranging flower bouquets for his customers. he's tried to move on and move past everything about his childhood: the Upside Down, Hawkins, his friends. If everything were to go his way, he would never see or hear of anyone from there ever again, except for maybe his family, and dustin, lucas, max, and el, but not mike. never, mike.
so of course, the world decides to work against him and bring mike wheeler into his shop. right in front of his face. after seven years. and maybe he doesn't hate it as much as he assured himself he did.this is my attempt at a byler fic!! chapters will alternate between past and present.
