Hyunjin brushes with death, injury and trauma every day without knowing and Seungmin is tired of trying to prevent it. Having Hyunjin suddenly looking after him instead was not something he ever expected to happen but he can't say he minds the role reversal.

Summary
Seungmin buries his nose in Hyunjin’s shoulder, inhaling deeply to convince himself to accept the game and pretend to be fooled, to forget what he’s just seen. Hyunjin smells of dirt, sweat and blood, his long black hair is all messy and tangled and there are a few fresh bruises on his face, and yet all Seungmin focuses on is how warm Hyunjin is and how familiar this warmth is. He nearly melts in the embrace, feeling sheltered from all the bad things in the world for as long as Hyunjin hugs him, but then he pulls away and the magic of this moment disappears just as quickly as the feeling of worry washes over Seungmin again.
(alt: Hyunjin and Jisung finally return home after a supply run that took longer than they all thought, but this day doesn't seem to have a happy ending. Seungmin notices blood on Hyunjin's shirt and knows something is not right.)

Summary
Seungmin runs deep into the forest, the tracks getting fainter and fainter with each meter on the snow, and at some point he realizes that the sun is already going down and he still hasn’t found any sign of Hyunjin other than his blood on the snow – which doesn’t even mean anything in the first place. It could be a trap set up by the rival pack, Seungmin thinks quite belatedly, but then forces himself to take deep breaths and look around, trying to imagine himself in Hyunjin’s situation. What would he do, where would he go if he wanted to be found by someone of their pack? Did he even want to be found?
(Alt: When their pack gets attacked by a bigger, stronger pack in the middle of a snowstorm, Hyunjin chooses to stay behind and let the rest of them get out of the forest safely. It’s hard to accept, but they’re trying to move on: all but Seungmin, who somehow just knows that his mate is still alive.)
