“Wonwoo,” Seungcheol begins, trailing off a little. “I know you mean well, but this isn’t going to happen. It’s immoral. Human experimentation is out of the question, and I honestly don’t want to hear about it anymore. Get it out of your mind, focus on the task at hand instead. You’re a good man, a well-respected and valued researcher and I like you; we need you to be at your best, okay?”
He doesn’t reply. No words seem to come out of his mouth, his mind full of buzzing static.
“I won’t mention this to anyone else, I won’t let it impact your job— but I mean it, Wonwoo. This is a warning. Stop thinking about this. Don’t talk about it. Check your mail for your briefing and get to work.”
or: Wonwoo has an all-consuming obsession with mermaids and will do just about anything to get closer to his lifelong dream of seeing one, even if it means taking matters into his own hands— literally.
Mingyu is just a guy, standing in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Summary
There’s an eerie silence enveloping the abandoned hospital, and it sends chills down Soonyoung’s spine.
Thick clouds loom overhead, painting the already ominous-looking sky even more grim. Thunder rumbles somewhere in the distance.
He’s out on a supply run, all by himself, and he’s beginning to feel like an idiot for getting himself into this situation.
or: Soonyoung goes on a supply run alone, planning to get what he needs from the abandoned hospital and hopefully making it out in one piece. As he scours the place, though, he finds much more than just medical supplies.
