They'd talked since he came back, of course. They talked when they were coming up with a strategy to win the Goodwill Event; they'd talked, briefly, when Itadori and Todo jumped into the fight against the special grade; they'd talked at the baseball game. But they didn't really talk. Megumi tried, right before the event started – something happened, didn't it? – but even that was shortlived, and Megumi didn't often have it in himself to pry, even when maybe he should.
Which brought us to now: "Are those chicken meatballs?" Itadori asked, eyes still wide, even when he blinked once, twice.
