    The stranger tilts his head as if he’s puzzled. “I suppose,” he replies haltingly. “I am Cast—”
    “Yeah, well, Cas,” Dean interrupts hostilely, “why don’t you tell me what you really are?” He hefts the cross in his arms, ignoring the sting of his shoulder as it stretches. “Any chance you’re somethin’ I can kill with a stake?”

    Time travel. That actually makes sense. It would also explain why his grace feels so weak, why his body aches so much. But Castiel can’t remember traveling through time. He wouldn’t do that without a reason, right?

    “2008.”, Castiel answers and his eyes wander to Dean again, “September 2008.”

    The halloween party came and went. It was only a few days after the New Year, that Sam found Jessica, his newly made fiancée, ablaze on the ceiling. He did the only thing he could. Call his brother.
    It wasn't a shock to have his father answer Dean's phone in his stead, but it did chill Sam to his core when his father told him that Dean had been missing for months.
    Now, forced back into the hunting life beside the man he tried so desperately to escape, Sam must hide his growing powers, and find the demon who took his mother, his fiancée, and perhaps, even his older brother.

    Rowena had cast the spell perfectly, powered by Jack and Amaras' combined energy. The portal to the Empty had opened. Finally, after a full year of searching, Dean was going to bring Castiel home.
    But the Empty exists outside of time and space, as do all omnipotent deities. What was a mere 15 years to something that was considered ancient before Chuck and Amara even existed?
    Now, flung backwards in time by the oily bastard, Dean finds himself in 2005, with an unconscious seraph in his lap, and the drive to hide his angel away from whatever trauma-filled writings that Chuck could come up with.

    After a less than lucky encounter with a witch, Dean is thrown back in time to 2008. Not only that, but he's also thrown into his younger self's body. Not knowing what to do, or how to get back, he decides to play along with what he thinks he did the first time around. Luckily, he's not the only one from the future. Cas is in the same boat, and they decide to do things right this time around; stop the apocalypse before it begins.

    But changing the future is tricky business, and keeping it a secret from everyone else is hard when your brother knows you too well and you're in a time where descripting your relationship with said brother as having 'trust issues' doesn't even begin to cover it.

    Will Dean and Cas save the world? And if they do, what will it cost them?
