Summary
Solar flares wreck the Earth, burning anyone outside alive as Visitors drag themselves from the Earth's crust, blood-red eyes and all. The people who come to the homeowner's door each have their reasons for being outcast, but one man catches her attention in particular. Inconceivably tall with a stoic demeanor and stubborn beyond belief, the man from the bar is let into her home and soon proves himself to be a close ally. She realizes quickly that her interest for him goes beyond what two strangers in the apocalypse can afford, though love rarely takes affordability into account.

Summary
In this fic, we're going to be riding right alongside the canon, with the exception of a few 'creative liberties'. It's going to essentially be a 'novelization' early on, but we're going to get a little bonkers with it later on. I tried my best to fill in some plot holes as well.
This story also explores a TON of missing scenes throughout the canon, that will eventually create it's own little homunculus.
Additionally this is the first fic in a series, that's going to follow the 'episodic' structure of the canon.

Summary
In moments like this, surrounded by couples at a wedding, or seeing a happy couple pick up her students, or even a pair at a coffee shop, she felt empty. Watching them be fully consumed by each other, ignoring how the world around them continued to spin, while they were frozen in time, entranced by their love for one another.
“People watching won’t do you any good,” He finished his drink, setting the glass down, gently waving off the staff that hurried to refill it, his hand dropping back to the table gracefully.
“How’d you know?” She asked, her eyes moving back to his.
He smiled, somber, “I’m well versed in it.” He stared at her, his eyes soft and searching, before he sucked in a breath and his large hand enveloped hers. “Money can’t buy that.”
