Summary
During the events of Mutiny, the crew throws Odysseus overboard after spearing him through. That’s where the god of the sea finds him.
He wakes in a cell underwater, no longer fully mortal, unable to grasp why he’s still alive—stuck in the grasp of a god who he assumes wants him dead.
But Poseidon is different than he thought, and over time, things change.

Summary
The man’s eyes are a shade of grey-blue that’s mesmerizing, swirling with dozens of unreadable thoughts, reflecting the rain and lightning of the storm. They are locked on Poseidon now, and the god doesn’t know how he didn’t see it sooner. There has to be an immortal’s blood in this mortal’s veins.
Or at the very least, there has to be a siren’s. Because there are few reasons to explain why the god of the sea is finding himself swayed by charmspeak.

To his credit, he pretends it never happened. In fact, his discomfort is barely even noticeable: a tensing of muscles, a fleeting wince across his face. A sharp, small gasp, so quiet she can’t be completely sure that she heard it. Odysseus schools his features in a moment, forcing his eyes down.
The steadying breath he takes is slow and controlled, his chest barely rising and falling. Meant to be unseen, meant only for himself. But Penelope is not oblivious.
