Summary
The quiet afternoons in the garden leave him thinking about Steve. James wonders if he’d like it up here. Maybe he would, since James does so much. Steve would slot into his life here well, he thinks. James could buy him pencils and a sketchbook so Steve could draw like he used to. James would buy Steve anything.
Later, as he walks barefoot in the green grass with Alpine, James decides to write Steve a letter.

Summary
But anyway the point is that the rest of his life blew up with his house. Their families came out to the funeral and, well, they didn't really get it. It wasn't simple to them. What could be more simple than Emma's name carved into stone, Holland isn't too sure, but it is what it is. They tried to get Holland sent to some hospital for queers and tried to take Holly from him and neither of those things happened, but he's never going to see his parents again or his brothers.
But now there's Healy.
Now, March has never felt this way about a man before and he got in his head about it for a while until he saw Healy knock out their client's soon-to-be ex-husband with one punch and then throw March over his shoulder like he was a half-empty sack of potatoes and his dormant and grieving libido woke up and went, "Okay, this one! It's this one! Gender is a social construct, as you very well know, and you want this one to rail you into next Sunday, please and thank you!"
so march has a vagina and everyone always makes that so complicated. he and his wife thought it was pretty simple, all things considered. maybe healy will too?

Summary
"Look away." Healy raised his gaze to meet March's eyes before turning around with half a shrug. Not being able to stop himself, his eyes traveled back down in the mirror to the magazine covering the other mans crotch. The mirror was dirty and the magazine was still held up half haphazardly with March's broken arm. He really should be able to see his dick. Stop thinking about this guys dick, Healy. Damn it.
"You know there's a mirror here, right?"
March's heart sank. Fuck. He did not need this guy to see his glaring lack of a dick. Why was he even looking? Pervert.
Or; me and my friends are all perverts and thought about Healy fucking March in that bathroom in the bowling alley.

Summary
[ “You ever seen the one where the guy puts the cigarette out on his tongue?”
If he hadn’t already taken the cigarette out of his mouth, he would’ve lost it with the way his jaw drops. March splutters. Healy looks absently concerned. March coughs. “He does--. He does what?” ]
Or, the "can yuo put that out on me" meme but it's March @ Healy while he's smoking his cigars. based on a twitter thread
