Summary
Two men sit, legs crossed, in a field of flowers. The day is pleasant, sun directly above, sky clear of clouds. The expanse of blue stretches above their heads, the unbroken surface of a lake, oddly out of focus where it meets the horizon, like the mirage created by sizzling heat on asphalt. A cool breeze runs gently through daffodils, the rustle of petals and leaves the only faint noise amongst eerie silence, lacking the chirping of birds or the buzzing of insects, atmosphere heavy with their absence. Like the land itself holds its breath.

Summary
When George, a potion brewer and owner of a small apothecary, finds infamous Runner Dream on the brink of death, he decides to do the right thing and save his life.
This may have been the worst decision he has ever made.
His (regrettable) well-intentioned act combined with the ill-timed disappearance of a friend sets off a serious of events that have him and his assistant Sapnap dragged into a (far-too-dangerous) roadtrip and a conspiracy running deeper than they ever could have imagined. In a world where monsters prowl the outskirts of kingdoms and his best friend commits arson every other day, you’d think he’d get enough excitement just waking up. Apparently not.
George just wants to go to bed.
Tdlr: Speedrunning is a career, taking down a cult is much harder than anticipated, and George regrets everything.
