Summary
Patrick Zweig and Art Donaldson were both selected in the first round of their draft year for the NHL. After years of playing together as kids and teenagers a division was driven between them in the from of a girl and teams with history thousands of miles away from each other.
Art has always been the perfectionist 'keep your head down and work hard' type while Patrick has coasted off sheer talent and luck that seems to only land on the extreme sides of the coin.
Patrick breaks his ankle in a game against Art's team and maybe it's the look in his eyes-or the metal in his leg or the begrudging support from Tashi. Sheer nostalgia and delusion? But things seem like they're starting to shift. -

“So, what exactly did you not want to tell me over the phone.” Andrew asked, staring at the crowd as if they held the answer to his question.
“I thought some one was following me while I was on my run.” Neil took a sip of his drink, trying to delay looking at Andrew. Neil knew what Andrew was going to say, and Neil didn’t want to face the fact that Andrew was right.
“And what makes you think they were following you? Last time I checked, you weren’t that interesting."
“I’m interesting enough for you.” Neil looked back at Andrew. That was not the answer Andrew wanted to hear and it showed in the way he stared back at Neil.
Neil sighed as he replied. “I have no reasoning for it. I was out for a run, I didn’t recognize the car, and it seemed to have followed me for a few blocks. It was nothing and it’s over with. I didn’t see it this morning.”
