Summary
He pries his eyes away from the almost glowing sight of the orange juice; the overhead light of the fridge glows directly into the nearest glass, and Eddie feels as if he’s a moth drawn to a flame. And like a moth, he can’t tell if the light that attracts him will burn at the touch.
“Dad? Why are you just standing there with the fridge open?” Chris asks, nearly startling Eddie off his feet.
or, the one where Eddie thinks a little too hard about some juice.

Summary
External forces such as the moon and planets always did peak his interest, but he never truly believed in anything greater than himself until he met Eddie Diaz. It was easy to believe in Eddie, even easier to believe that something great must have created him just for Buck.

Summary
Buck has always felt that his life moved cyclically in some ways. His susceptibility to abandonment, his need for approval, his heart-on-his-sleeve outlook on life. It all went ‘round and ‘round, highs and lows burning brighter on each uptake.

Even then, coming down from that high of unbridled bliss, it had felt like a sign that he was told to seek joy and Buck coincidentally knocked on his front door.

Summary
“Maddie thinks you’re in love with me,” Eddie states, and Buck nods once. “Are you?” he repeats—slower now, not as if Buck is stupid—never, not once, has he ever made Buck feel stupid—but as if he’s… encouraging him to… slow down. To process.
“I-I love you,” is all Buck can stutter, along with as much of a shrug as he can manage in this position.
“And I love you,” Eddie confirms—still slow. “But that’s not what I asked you, either.”

Summary
Buck needs to know what’s in that box.
“Oh no. I know that face,” Eddie sighs. “You’re about to become weird about this, aren’t you?”
“Aren’t you curious about what’s in the box Eddie??”
“Not curious enough to get stabbed.”
Buck ponders the downsides of getting stabbed versus getting answers.
“Buck.”
“No, I know! I know!” he concedes. “I, Even Buck Buckley, promise not to get myself stabbed in the noble pursuit of knowledge.”

Summary
“I don’t know how to treat him. It’s cruel to be nice, but it’s worse to be outright mean to him.’
“You are outright mean to him.” Dana scoffed. A glare came her way. “You’re mean to everyone.”
“That’s not true.”
“And you’re nice. You’re a good mentor. You’re good at what you do. You’re treating him right–equally. Somewhat.” Dana said, moving through the motions of teasing and assuring Robby that he wasn’t the worst person in the world.
“Somewhat?” Robby crossed his arms.
“You’re just…” Dana grabbed both of his shoulders as if to make an example out of him, “Touchy.”
--
TLDR; Dana calls Robby out on his bullshit, and Robby is forced to confront both Dennis' feelings and his own. (Tags to be added!)
