It’s been roughly seven minutes since Tzuyu has opened her eyes, thirty seconds since she decided she was going to unwrap herself from the warm embrace of her bed to crack open a window in her living room. She’s not really sure if giving Nayeon a spare key to her apartment is something that she regrets. Though she’s pretty sure Nayeon can see her nipples poking through her shirt.
Tzuyu clears her throat, bringing an arm around her chest. Why the fuck not.
“Sure.”

Sooyoung frontlines the crowd, eyes glossy and lips curled into a shadow of a smile. Chaewon looks smaller amidst the boxes and bags under her arms. It's not exactly a goodbye. Everyone knows that. But there's something so jarring about one of them leaving that it makes reality hit harder, almost crippling.

“Chloe is fine,” she said aloud, speaking it into existence anyway.
“She is,” Jules replied, brushing the back of her knuckles along the side of Mika’s face. “What do you need?”
Mika closed her eyes and reached for Jules’ hand, capturing it in her own and pressing it deeply into her cheek, as if imprinting the feel of Jules permanently into her skin.
“For you to say? At least for a little bit?” she asked, opening her eyes.
Jules’ soft smile broadened, and she reached quickly for her phone to check the time.
“Yeah. I can stay.”

She and Mika said they are going to be friends. There’s been some vague discussions of ‘somewhere down the line’, which, she’ll admit, is something that makes her feel very excited, but for now, friends. She knows she’s not ready for anything more than that, not yet. Hence the compartmentalizing.
She can do that. She can set aside any lingering romantic or sexual feelings she has for Mika and focus on just being friends. Besides, Mika might not end up moving to Chicago. This could all be a non-issue, really.
