He isn't anything like you expect. He's cold and harsh and emotionally unattached. You quickly learn that you should keep your distance. Should fear his silence. Should tremble in his presence and be afraid of his shadow.

    But all you can do is follow it. Follow and obey like he has already claimed every step you take.

     

    You held his gaze. Like you wanted him to see that you weren’t afraid. That you were willing to meet whatever darkness lived in him and not flinch away from it.
    And then you said it. The very thing he desired to hear but the very thing that would ruin him.
    “Yes, sir. I will follow your rules and do everything you say.”
    Yes, sir.
    So obedient. So confident.
    It slithered down his spine and pooled somewhere deep in his core. A place he didn’t know existed in him anymore.
    Yes, sir.
    It shouldn’t have felt like that. It shouldn’t have sounded that good. But it did. Every damn time you said it.
    He needed to be careful. Very careful about what this turned into.
