Summary
'You comfy enough there, bud?' says Eddie, coming into the bedroom to find Buck propped against the pillows, one under his bad leg, more pillows bolstering his arms, enough that he looks small, despite the 6”2” bulk of him.
'Yes,' Buck pouts, lowering his book, and he tries to sit up but he’s a little too buried in goose down and it just looks like he’s wriggling, a beetle flipped onto its back.
Eddie laughs at him and Buck flushes pink. They bicker about the pillows often enough, Buck has to have at least three to sleep, huge and plush, while Eddie is happy with two, medium firmness at most, but somehow there never seems to be fewer than nine pillows on their bed at any given moment. Eddie runs hot, all the time, but especially at night and he's constantly chucking pillows to the floor or shoving them to Buck's side of the bed. The best compromise is when Buck abandons the pillows entirely, wrapping his long limbs around Eddie, head resting against Eddie's chest.

Buck has so many pillows on their bed and Eddie decides to use this to his advantage, putting Buck on his back and having his way with him.

"Buck," Eddie said, his voice dropping an octave as he stepped into Buck’s personal space, his chest brushing against Buck’s shirt. "If you wear that hat, everyone is going to be looking at you. And I’m the one who has to pretend I don’t want to drag you back to this bed the second we walk into the bar."
Buck bit his lip, his bravado wavering for a split second as his breath hitched. Eddie could see the conflict in his eyes, he knew Buck loved pushing his buttons, especially when Eddie indulged and pushed back. "Well," Buck whispered. "Then I guess you better keep a close eye on me, cowboy."
In Nashville, Buck and Eddie find out that mechanical bull riding makes for the best kind of foreplay.
