Summary
It was a clean cut. Deep enough to worry him and probably needed internal stitching. Injuries like this weren’t meant to be treated in a sketchy back-alley clinic, not with equipment this sparse. But judging by the way Bunny had come straight here without hesitation, Sae guessed the mafioso had no other choice — no hospital would take him without questions, and no one else in the city could be trusted to keep a secret like this.
“Lie down. Don’t move,” he commanded.
“Aye-aye, doc.”
[In which Sae, an underground doctor, reluctantly patched up a mafioso named 'Bunny' one night and thought it would end there... Until his name surfaced on a dark web forum, marked with a price. A bounty on his head.]
