Summary
Once, Gillion would have wondered what it was like to have someone look at you with that much care and kindness. He never saw that look from his own parents, only disappointment and greed. Now though, he knows what it’s like to be looked at with love. He thinks of Edyn, and Jay, and Chip, and he knows that he will be okay.
He looks at Ollie, laughing as he lifts ten times the weight of the men helping him, and at his mother. He knows they will be okay too.

“Are you sure that you’re alright?” Chip asked as they saddled up to the bar, “you’re looking a bit moister than usual.”Chip held up three fingers to the bartender, telling the order. His gaze on Gillion barely wavered. Gillion glanced away, his ears flicking and drooping downward.
“That is a good thing, is it not?” Gillion asked.
“I mean, I suppose,” Chip shrugged, “but you’ve also just been pretty quiet. You’re not acting very… Gillion-Tidestrider-like.”
