As for a fic, how about Alistair waking up in the middle of the night to find Dog has sidled up between him and Isley so he tries very hard to move Dog out from between them without waking up Isley but Dog is very stubborn. Maybe Alistair ends up trying to squeeze himself against the other side of Isley, teetering off the edge of the bed?

And maybe Elissa gets together with Zevran before finally admitting she has feelings for Alistair."

If you’d asked Alistair what he wanted – not that many people ever did – he’d have said, oh, you know, the usual. Eternal rest. The Fade, Maker’s side, all that sort of thing. He wanted to go out like a hero, protecting the woman he loved.
Of course, that depends on actually "going out" in the first place, not just waking up in the Cousland grounds feeling like an ogre’s trampled on your head. And not having the woman you love right next to you, not even knowing your name, because you haven’t met yet.
