Summary
Levi has been going to the same coffee shop for four years when a stranger sits at his table and tells him he’s reading the wrong edition of his book.
Her name is Hange Zoe.
Levi has never met her before.
So he has no explanation for why her name feels familiar, why he already knows the little things she is going to do before she does them, or why meeting her feels less like meeting someone new and more like finally finding someone he has been missing for a very long time.
Or, Levi and Hange find each other again in another life. This time, they might actually have time.

Summary
After the Rumbling, Hange finally has the chance to see the world she spent her whole life dreaming about. The war is over, Erwin is somehow alive again, and there is nothing keeping her in Paradis. Levi would never ask her to stay anyway.
So Hange leaves.
Seven hundred and forty-two days later, she walks into Levi’s tea shop without warning and tells him something he never expected to hear: she can leave and still come back.

Summary
Levi has never been very good at believing in later.
People leave. Some choose to. Others are taken. Promises have never been enough to stop death, illness, war, or goodbyes.
But when a little girl asks if he will come back another day, Levi tells her he will.
And for once, he desperately wants to believe it.
Or, Hange and Levi spend the day at an orphanage.

Summary
For two years, Levi has let Hange slip into his bed, his room, and eventually every part of his life without ever putting a name to whatever exists between them. He never saw much reason to. Until one morning, lying beside them, he realizes that somewhere along the way, wanting Hange stopped being just about desire.
