Beomgyu got to his feet and offered the brunette his hand. “You should go. It’s not safe this late at night.”
The boy accepted his hand gratefully. “Promise you’ll be here next time?”
“I promise.”
Beomgyu watched him go, trying to ignore the wistful pang in his heart. “Wait!” He called out.
“What…what’s your name?”
The boy smiled, revealing a dimple that shone brighter than any of the stars above. “Soobin. Choi Soobin.”
OR
Choi Beomgyu had never thought that a pretty boy he stumbled upon on the beach would change the trajectory of his life forever.

Sometimes, he catches himself missing the old Beomgyu more than the old world itself, and maybe he should but he never blames himself for it, not when one of the few things that mattered in the old world was Beomgyu himself anyway.
or, the world is in flames, people are dying left and right but it’s beomgyu and the way he’s slowly drifting away from all of them that yeonjun seems more concerned about.

Summary
“Have you ever heard about the origami hearts tradition in the hospital?”
Taking the heart, the child excitedly inspected it, nodding in glee. “Yes! My mama told me that when someone leaves the hospital to go to heaven, we all fold a paper heart for them! Like this, like this!”
“That’s right,” chuckled Soobin. “But do you know how it started? It started here, in this room. From a boy who used to fold a paper heart every day for his lost love, hoping each one he makes will take him closer to the day those eyes would open again.”

In other words, a hopeless love story of two childhood best friends who didn't realise what it meant to have each other until it was too late; compiled of yearning, loss, forlorn hope, unrequited love, and every tragedy in between.
