Summary
Once more, Armitage Hux has been underestimated. Although his body has been dumped after being declared dead by Pryde, he has survived as always by knowing when to rush an enemy and, more importantly, when to safeguard against one. However, his continued living warrants its own problems. He's betrayed the regime that he watched grow alongside him, and he will not be accepted into a galaxy whose capital he destroyed. To escape the Order is one thing, to hide from the New Republic is another.
With the fall of the Sith Eternal comes the end of the First Order's era as a primary galactic power. The shockwaves of the battle on Exegol are felt throughout the stars. While some members of the First Order cling to what control they have left, others flee into hiding or defect to the New Republic while they have the chance. None can say for certain how the governance of the galaxy will shake out, and growing pains abound as civilians find themselves rubbing shoulders with those who were once their iron-fisted rulers.
