Summary
The galaxy teeters on the edge of another war.

Summary
Once more, Armitage Hux has been underestimated. Although his body has been dumped after being declared dead by Pryde, he has survived as always by knowing when to rush an enemy and, more importantly, when to safeguard against one. However, his continued living warrants its own problems. He's betrayed the regime that he watched grow alongside him, and he will not be accepted into a galaxy whose capital he destroyed. To escape the Order is one thing, to hide from the New Republic is another.
With the fall of the Sith Eternal comes the end of the First Order's era as a primary galactic power. The shockwaves of the battle on Exegol are felt throughout the stars. While some members of the First Order cling to what control they have left, others flee into hiding or defect to the New Republic while they have the chance. None can say for certain how the governance of the galaxy will shake out, and growing pains abound as civilians find themselves rubbing shoulders with those who were once their iron-fisted rulers.

The Emperor, and former Sith Lord, Sheev Palpatine is dead. With him, the Empire has disintegrated to the winds of time, its ashes left to the wayside of the Galaxy and beyond. As Imperial Warlords rise to fill the power vacuum, so to does the New Republic take form to reclaim the galaxy and return liberty and freedom to the known Galaxy. As a newly formed Jedi Order reclaims its place in serving as Protectors of the Galaxy at large, Luke Skywalker goes out of his way to train his first ever student in Ben Solo. However, the Darkness has resided but not vanished. Whilst balance was restored, an old foe lingers. The Galaxy had its first taste of Sith rule, the intoxicating flavor of which has lead some to seek it out in order to bring about the order and stability the Empire under Emperor Palpatine once offered. The Sith were sentenced to the history book of the Galaxy, however such a chapter may not be fully accurate.

Summary
Armitage Hux placed no faith in the dying religion of the Sith, that is to say, he had placed no faith in it until the day he woke up in Xommihal Citadel, wired into the very life support machinery that had kept former Emperor Palpatine alive for decades. The Sith Eternal, a reclusive cult that had stayed in the shadows for centuries, had opted to keep him alive after his betrayal of the First Order for the sole purpose of using him as a sacrifice in their plot to resurrect one Kylo Ren, who had apparently died sometime after Hux was shot. But when he’s released from the life support machinery, Hux finds that Ren is only physically dead; his ghost lives on in the citadel, and he claims he’s going to save Hux from certain death.
Ren isn’t the only ghost lingering here - faces Hux had personally requested dead years ago also walk these halls, as well as a scared youngling who he had assumed dead after the Battle of Jakku. While avoiding these demons of the past, Hux discovers that Ren isn’t just planning to save him from the Sith Eternal, Ren is planning to save him from the very past he’s fought for decades to forget. And he’s planning to do all of this whether or not Hux wants him to.

Maybe if a young Armitage Hux hadn't uncovered a conspiracy older than himself while he was obsessively over-analyzing all First Order data to corroborate his organization's legitimacy just to find out all of his objectives and everything he stood for amounted to a lie, he wouldn't have sent the coordinates for Stakiller Base to the Resistance. But fate and the Force had a way of setting things up, and the truth might be far more complicated than any lie.
…Years ago, Hux discovered Palpatine. Things snowballed from there.
