Summary
So, yeah. It was a great day. Until she opened the door to their temporary lodgings, and stepped into their common room, expecting to find it empty. Zoey and Mira both had their own trainees, after all.
But they were both here, and since they were out of direct sight of the door, Rumi heard them before she saw them. First a giggle—that was normal from Zoey. The breathy moan, which stabbed through Rumi’s gut like a lance, was not.
Rumi didn’t mean to sneak. Frankly, hearing that lewd sound from Zoey’s mouth caused every other thought to vacate her head altogether, so she couldn’t have tried if she wanted to. No matter her intentions, the door closed softly, and the room’s other occupants didn’t hear.
Maybe, they were too focused on each other to pay it any mind.

You've read it before. Rumi is in love with her roommates. She walks in on the mid-sex. In this one, she doesn't take it well. At all.
Her solution? Have sex with someone else. No one is okay with that.

Summary
You know the story. The vampires abandon Bella for her own safety. She turns to Jacob for support and ends up entangled with supernatural forces again — werewolves this time — offering their protection. But are there greater dangers out there? What happens when her best friend lays his life before a group of ancient vampire cops? Probably not exactly what you expect...
This is my rewrite of New Moon — intended to steal the worldbuilding I like and diverge from the plot of the original books — most importantly by making BOTH main characters gay. I've also added some nuance to the worldbuilding to incorporate things I enjoy in vampire lore. I've got really overt with the religious trauma. And lastly, I've worked in a diverse cast, some actual personality for the women, and some thought behind the indigenous issues. Oh, and did I mention, it's set in New Zealand?
