What should have been a quick grocery run turns into a headache when Shouta ends up at the mall with Midoriya. Or rather, little Midoriya.
Now Shouta is stuck babysitting an overexcited fanboy in public, while trying very hard not to strangle Hizashi for keeping a new internet trend involving him from him. Ugh.How did Midoriya know that? "How did you know that?"
Shouta already established that Midoriya forgot everything above the age of eight, so this doesn’t make sense.
"Hm… Will you buy me the limited edition Edgeshot figure I saw a few minutes ago?"

“Izuku,” Shouto says, seriously, taking subtle pride in the way that he’s allowed to use Izuku’s given name.
Izuku looks up from his own notebooks (that Shouto might have taken inspiration from) to look at Shouto, eyes wide like they almost always are. “Yes, Shou-chan?” The other replies, and Shouto feels a wave of affection wash over him at the nickname - a sudden want to take Izuku away and make sure that no one can ever hurt him. It’s not an unusual feeling. Shouto seems to feel that sort of emotions around his closest friends a lot nowadays.
“Date me.”
Izuku blinks. “I- What?”
…Maybe Shouto should have phrased that better.

So it seems that the true initiation to the Dekusquad is to… enable the fake dating polycule with the main purpose of pissing off Endeavour and secondary purpose of making a profit off the bets surrounding their speculated romantic relationships?
(aka, todoroki is petty, the dekusquad are enablers, and the fake dating here actually stays as just fake dating)

Summary
Midoriya Izuku has always been written off as weird. As if it's not bad enough to be the quirkless weakling, he has to be the weird quirkless weakling on top of it.
But truthfully, the "weird" part is the only part that's accurate. He's determined not to be a weakling, and in spite of what it says on paper, he's not actually quirkless. Even before meeting All-Might and taking on the power of One For All, Izuku isn't quirkless.
Not that anyone would believe it if he told them.
