“Hmm... You know what I think?” Jean looks at her. A mistake. Lisa’s eyes narrow ever so slightly. “I think my mate is doing her best to hide just how poorly she’s taking care of herself again.” The hand on her back flexes a little, manicured nails digging into her skin. “Don’t try to deny it. Kaeya told me you didn’t get out of your office all day.”
Oh.
It takes everything Jean has in her not to pout at the treason. At least she knows Kaeya does these things out of concern. Still...
“I have merely been too busy,” Jean says. It’s a weak argument, she knows that, but what else is she supposed to say? “I’m already behind on schedule.”
Lisa hums. Her hand lets go of Jean’s back and instead comes to rest on her thigh. It inches a little closer to Jean’s crotch than should be acceptable in an office. She can’t stop Lisa, though. The look on her mate’s eyes freezes her in place.
Jean neglects to take care of herself properly due to work yet again. Thankfully, Lisa knows just what she needs to do to fix that.

“Are you absolutely sure you want this?” Astra asked, gentle, and Evelyn couldn’t help but melt.
