He took Tetsurou’s palm with a strong grip, his unnaturally long fingers wrapping all the way around Tetsurou’s coarse, scarred hand. His hands were cold, but smooth - if he was a monster hunter, he was a different breed than Tetsurou for sure.

Summary
Once upon a time, Kuroo, a rich man and Tsukki, a young opera singer were in love until first reality hit them, and then tragedy. Refusing to believe that he lost the love of his life, he accepted a dangerous offer:
One chance to find and save Tsukki from a fate worse than death, if he understood that tricking fate comes with a price.
Well over a century later, Kuroo lives a good life as a wealthy businessman. Although he is quite content, he has always felt like he was missing out on something but couldn't put his finger on it. One day, he finds an old notebook in an antique store about a shipwreck that happened a long time before he was born. He doesn't know who the writer was, or anything about the ship, or why the writer was so obsessed with it, but it doesn't matter. Kuroo has to get to the bottom of this and that means to get to the bottom of the ocean.
Caught up in an unsettling fairy tale-esque adventure, he and the crew of the RV Cikap-Kamuy under Captain Bokuto encounter mysteries, nightmares, dreams, and the truth about the existence of mermaids.
