Down the hall, the door to Debbie’s office swings open, and Mike’s mouth drops open. “Oh,” he groans, “you have got to be kidding me.”
Will does not look any more pleased to see him than Mike is. “Oh,” he says stiffly, as Debbie’s office door clicks shut behind him. “You again.”
“Nice to see you too,” Mike replies, and Will’s face drops into a scowl.

Summary
El’s mouth twists to one side, the way it does when she’s about to deliver bad news. Mike’s gut sinks further. “Will’s bringing Andy home for the holidays to meet everyone.”
Logically, there is only one possible context behind all of this, but that does not mean Mike is willing to believe it before he has to. “Right,” he says, feeling vaguely on the verge of hyperventilating, “and- El, who the fuck is Andy?”
At this, El’s expression of thinly veiled pity shifts into proper shock, her eyes going wide and round. “Oh,” she says, “oh, dear.”
Mike comes home from his first semester at college with a plan: to make Will Byers his boyfriend. Unfortunately, it appears someone else has already beaten him to it.

Summary
You like me, he wants to say, wants to jab a finger into Will’s chest and accuse him. You like me so much.
He does not, because even though all their friends are almost certainly too caught up in their own tasks to be listening in, and even though he’s, like, eighty-five percent sure Will’s reaction to such an accusation would be positive, it seems wrong to pick a moment like this to start stating things plainly, without fanfare or buildup. Besides, as excruciating as this little thing between them can get sometimes, it’s moments like this when he’s reminded - it’s fun.Will is driving Mike crazy.

“Uh-huh,” Mike says faintly, and he yelps when they narrowly avoid the edge of a shining skyscraper, and his hands clutch onto Spiderman instinctively. “Oh – my fucking God, that –”
Spiderman’s fingers press a little firmly into Mike’s shirt. "Just – hang on!"
"What do you mean just hang – was that a pun," Mike sputters, clutching onto Spiderman for dear life as they swing through the city, and he can hear the superhero laugh through the racing wind in his ears, the rumble of it under Mike’s arm wrapped around his middle.
In a city of superheroes, Mike keeps running into Spiderman, much to his dismay.
