"Time flew by, and within minutes their first customers had arrived, the small space instantly becoming filled with light and laughter, conversation amongst many, chatter and loitering and simply hanging about in the space of the coffee shop. It was a practically minute space, with what the boss could afford nowadays, but managed to feel homely nonetheless, crammed with patchwork armchairs and mahogany tables, the atmosphere rich with the scent of fresh-ground coffee beans and pastries just out of the oven, courtesy of culinary student Niki herself. It was lit with assorted lamps of all shades and colours and sizes, overcrowded with plants and pointless trinkets, and if the occasional customer was lucky, they may even get to meet the cafe’s resident cat, who liked to lounge about amongst the staff usually, but often ventured out to say hello to any prospective friends."

as a part of the underground society of villainy, snowchester, that plagues the city of essempi, purpled is familiar with insanity and malice. in fact, some might consider him both of those things: insane and malicious.
whilst it might be true, purpled is-
okay. yeah, purpled is kinda insane. what can he say? he lives for the thrill, the adrenaline rush, and it's not like he's actually hurting people.
or purpled, aka delude, is a villain. he and the rest of the villains in snowchester are trying to overthrow a corrupt government, but purpled's really into it just for the adrenaline high, at first, and the chance to be seen. slowly, that changes; purpled changes. and with the change comes... complications, as it always does.
like why is he getting so protective of his fellow anarchy-reigning villains?
or or author fucking loves moral ambiguity and character development. they want you all to see that.
