“They never stop,” Alex says. He looks up at Henry, who is grinning down at him with his arms crossed over his chest. If Alex notices the way his shirt is pulled taught over his broad shoulders then that is no one’s business. Henry glances at his textbook, and Alex finds himself angling it so Henry can see better. “Criminal procedure. It’s about–”
Henry leans one arm on the table, and his blonde hair flops down into his eyes. He’s studying the book cover like he’s the one with the exam, and this close Alex can see a tiny mole on his upper lip. “Uh… criminal… procedures.”
The corner of Henry’s lip quirks up and – Jesus Christ. “You don’t say?”

Henry's hand twitches restlessly on top of the table, and he presses his fingers firmly into the fabric. He sees Alex look in his direction via his peripheral vision, frown pulling down the corners of his lips.
Alex reaches for his hand.
And Henry doesn't mean to do it—it's entirely a reflex that has been hammered into the fabric of his DNA for years and is apparently reborn in the presence of the royal vultures circling around him, ready at a moment’s notice to swoop down and devour him whole.

It’s enough to bring a smile to the other man’s face, “With you, Alex.”
Alex is drunk and not jealous of the guy his roommate is flirting with. Alex is drunk and really wants Henry to pull cheesy faces with him in this photo booth. Alex is drunk and very confused when Henry says he loves him and then dips right as the camera goes off.
