Summary
And Jooyeon may have all the benefits that come with being a vampire, the superior strength and the charm and the patience, but before this wonderful creature, she is but a thing that craves. Human women were always meant to be enjoyed by a vampire lover, of that she is certain.

Summary
Even better, he wanted to grab both Jiseok and Jooyeon and clack their heads together with enough force that they’d stop being so obtuse and cagey with one another. The only thing stopping him was a lack of physical means.
Hyeongjun did like to think, however, that what he lacked physically, he made up for in creativity.
From where Hyeongjun is standing, it's painfully obvious that Jooyeon and Jiseok are into each other. Apparently it's just not so obvious to either of them, and when the tension between them starts to affect the group, Hyeongjun decides to take matters into his own hands. After all—desperate times call for desperate measures.

Summary
It's a joke. Obviously. It's not even half as bad as some of the disgustingly public displays of affection they've shared over the years, those things that make even actual couples cringe. Even so, Jiseok can tell. If he goes along with it, tonight will be a new beginning for more than just the year.
A pair of childhood friends, a bottle of sparkling wine, and the suppressed feelings between them.

Summary
"Yeah," Jiseok laughs, resigned and sardonic, "bet I'll meet my soulmate right here, at the meat market."
"Maybe, maybe not. You could have a fateful romance novel meeting at a coffee shop, or," Jungsu's gaze falls pointedly somewhere behind Jiseok, "it could even be the guy at the bar who's been stealing glances at you for the past thirty minutes."
Jiseok, serial homewrecker by circumstance, has been burned by love one too many times. Then the universe sends him Jooyeon.

Summary
Click. Squeak.
“Time for your evening medications, Jooyeon-nim,” came the familiar voice, and Jooyeon let his lips curve into a smile as he rolled his head to the side, opening his eyes to look at the intruder.

Summary
The stranger was taller than Jiseok, with dark, longish hair that framed his angular face and oversized round glasses. He was definitely attractive, almost unfairly so, but that wasn’t what stunned Jiseok. There was something else about him—a certain aura that Jiseok couldn’t pin down. He couldn’t tell if it felt dangerous or alluring, because it was somehow both at once.
Raised by an immortal phoenix and a shapeshifting druid behind the counter of the Feylight Café, an establishment for magical patronage of all shapes and sizes, Kwak Jiseok has never known a normal life. But he knows he doesn't belong in this world—never has and never will. He's human, after all. So maybe university will be where he finally finds a place to belong.
Instead, he finds Lee Jooyeon.

Summary
Jungsu said nothing for a long moment, either unsure what to say or unwilling to say something he knew Jiseok would scoff at, like “Maybe you should give therapy another go” or “I found a new dating app you might like”.
When eventually he did speak, he said, “Have you ever thought about getting a pet?”
Twenty-three-year-old Kwak Jiseok is married to his work, with nothing to go home to and little to live for.
Twenty-eight-year-old Kwak Jiseok has a painful past and an uncertain future, but he wants nothing more than to live, even if it’s easier said than done.
