    What day is it?

    The window is open, a nice cool breeze wafting in. Sun shines in through the windows, bright, overwhelming almost, warm. How–how cold is it? Zero degrees? Warmer? How much is that in fahrenheit, Dakota and William don’t–they don’t know celsius. The breeze carries the smell of melting snow into his face, emerging plants, wet dirt. Birds–bluejays, robins, maybe, he doesn’t fucking know bird calls, but they’re chirping up a storm outside. He didn’t even hear it from his room. The distinct honking of Canadian geese meets his ears. Flying north for–spring.
