The phone rings only twice before Seungcheol answers.
"Hello?" he greets casually, like he didn't just completely drop a bomb onto Wonwoo's head. He's already driving, Wonwoo can hear, car rumbling and wind blowing into the speaker of his phone.
"What do you mean by 'See you in twelve hours?' You're coming here?"
"What? You don't wanna see me?" Seungcheol teases, Wonwoo can hear the shit eating grin in his voice and rolls his eyes, scoffing.
"You're gonna drive through the night?"
"Yup," Seungcheol replies, popping the p, like it's that simple. He supposes it is that simple if Seungcheol really just dropped everything and decided to drive here. Wonwoo sighs, rubbing his free hand over his eyes.
Or: Wonwoo's online friend Seungcheol drives twelve hours through the night just to see him; Which could mean nothing.

The hills shudder. All the world lulls into a hush. Then, the thing bursts into flames.
“The turnips need some work,” Seungcheol decides, dropping his notepad and sprinting down the hills.

“Are you cold, Wonie?” Seungcheol asked, fumbling for Wonwoo’s hand, then intertwined his fingers together with the omega’s. “You don’t want to get out, so let me get into this darkness with you. We can be here together. Isn’t it better?”
Without a single idea of what he wanted or felt scared of, the boy kept crying in the leader’s arms. With his lungs filled by the scent of peppermint, the omega gradually found his heart cheering at the familiarity, as if he had lived without what he was used to for decades. However, this kind of darkness was not the one he had always known. Wonwoo had never known he could ever have another person jump in together with him, not to demand him to get out, but to share this space together with him even though this thing was never meant for two people.
Could anyone understand how scary it was to see nothing but the only moment he was living in? If Wonwoo died one day, would he be allowed to choose not to die in loneliness? Could someone be his companion solely for that moment? Or Seungcheol would accompany him all the way to hell?
