Summary
“You’re not my fuckin’ dad,” he snaps, finally gaining the remaining of his voice. It tastes like freedom, like breathing when the noose is loose while he steadies his weight on his tiptoes, albeit fleeting.
Henry doesn’t frown. The muscles in his shoulder slacken as he tilts his head. A challenge. Will hates that the sight makes him squirm. “Am I not?”

Summary
The cool November breeze brushes through the strands of Will’s chocolate gold hair.
His right hand slips to the back of his neck, his fingers getting buried in the thickness of his freshly cut mane. His teeth chatter.
It’s that thing- a gluttonous, revolting, viscous, monstrous thing that slithers through his body, eating him from the inside out, feasting on his organs -that makes him say, “Is there anyone like that for you?”
“Anyone who fits perfectly into my life?”
“I guess…or just someone who helps you feel a little…less lonely. Like you said.”
“I haven’t had that in quite a long time,” Henry's gaze briefly falls to his drawing pad. “But, I think it’d be nice if I did.”
In 1980s, Hawkins, Indiana, Will figures he should take whatever he can get.
Henry Creel wants him to know that he doesn't have to.
This could be good for both of them, but it probably won't be.

Summary
“Will, sweetheart,” Henry tries again, his voice less serrated, more rounded, softened edges. As soft as a blade can be anyway. “What are you doing?”
The silence is thick.
The silence taunts.
What the fuck does it look like he’s doing? He’s leaving you, you fucking worthless piece of shit.
He's going back to Hawkins and he's leaving you.
Or, Forgiveness is not an endless lake. It can run dry. Will Byers has been thinking of ending things. Henry can tell.

Summary
“Hey."
The boy turns to face him.
His eyes are even more beautiful up close. Clear, blue skies. The clearest Caribbean waters. The knot between his eyebrows fades, until he’s left there, standing and staring at Will uneasily.
He looks around, like he’s trying to figure out if Will is speaking to him, despite the two of them being the only ones in the stairwell.
Will didn't think he'd get this far.
Or, the Zombie Boy and the Theatre Freak have quite a bit in common.
