Hyoga muses, a sense of smug wonder in his tone. Senku's eye twitches, taking as shallow a breath as possible… it doesn't help one bit. Hyoga's scent hits like a blow and Senku tenses all over as the sweet ache sinks its claws into his core.
"Heh, no need to sound so smug about it. It's not like I need you specifically."

He takes a slow breath and stills the shaking in his hands before peeling back the fur and climbing to his feet. It’s dark but there’s just enough moonlight to see by. Tsukasa’s keeping watch at the window but his eyes dart towards Senku as he stands. His head tilts, questioning and Senku freezes, just for a moment. He feels a sudden kinship with a deer staring down a pair of headlights.
