Summary
Rhaenyra Targaryen, the undisputed queen of her one-woman kingdom of Westeros (her bedroom), was a creature of habit. Her days were a carefully choreographed ballet of Mountain Dew, League of Legends, and the rhythmic click-clack of her keyboard. Sunlight was an alien concept, and social interaction was a myth.
But even a dragon needs to leave its lair occasionally, or so her overbearing brother, Baelon, insisted. The problem was that Rhaenyra was a dragon who preferred the comfort of her cave over conquesting the outside world.
Well, not until Baelon sends Alicent, his assistant, as a dragonkeeper.(i just wanted to write more pathetic Rhaenyra and her being one of those super insufferable tech nerds….)

The sudden passing had shocked the entire community, and they turned out in force to mourn him. But the person presiding over his funeral now was a stranger, a replacement who had stepped in so quickly it was as if they had been waiting for this exact moment.
Rhaenyra. Father Rhaenyra, she was to call them, Alicent reminded herself.
She looked up from her pew, only to find herself already meeting the gaze of the priest. Blue– almost purple eyes shooting through hers. She found herself frozen, feeling like a deer caught in headlights.
Rhaenyra just smiles at her gently, a sharp canine shyly peeking out.

It was fragmented magic, pieced together by the folly of their youth, forged in blood, then bound by Syrax’s dragonfire. To make sense of this, only the eternal fire can be the cause. The fire before even the Old Gods spoke life into man. It is the blood of the dragon that creates a life worth living it whispered, and it would seem that such eternal fire wished for their children, hers’ and Alicent’s both, to share the same blood.
If Alicent’s Gods were to be believed, Rhaenyra is sure they would smite her where she stands.

Rhaenyra hummed, eyes tracing along the woman’s clothing analytically. “I’m going to guess that my darling Alicent isn’t wearing any knickers at all today,” they stated, gaze landing on the woman’s full lips.
Alicent looked up at Rhaenyra with her big, brown eyes and smirked. She allowed the words to hang in the air for a moment, the tension palpable. Then, she reached into her center console, pulled out a pair of sunglasses, and put them on. “Goodnight, Rhaenyra.”

“Yes,” Rhaenyra said, looking up at the other woman.
“Lastly,” A little self-satisfied half-smile, not unlike the ones the Princess was known for, appeared on Alicent’s face. “Tell no man of The Woman Maester.”
