Or: Vigcup Revenge AU, in which Drago has taken everything, and Hiccup needs to rely on Viggo, his former enemy, as his last hope. Meanwhile, Viggo knows this will be a tragedy and chooses to fall for Icarus anyway.

ㅤㅤYOU LIKED TO PLAY MOON WITH ME, BUT I ALWAYS THOUGHT YOU WERE THE SUN — We were children then, barely ten, and you liked to gift me small, great things: a stone smooth as a heartbeat, your warm sleeve in winter's sting, and that kind of smile that makes butterflies sing. I wanted to give you something in return, but you ran ahead, your bare feet quick on the fern. And I followed, stumbling, yearning, tripping on roots, catching your laughter like it was a rope pulling me through the greens.
ㅤㅤWe built kingdoms out of fallen logs, crowned each other with birch leaves, swore oaths no one heard but the crows. And when dusk pressed gold through the branches’ glow, you pointed upward, told me the stars were holes where the gods peeked through the canopy's folds. I saw no need for the heavens above; you were the brightest thing, naturally.
ㅤㅤWe carved our names into cedar and bark, trusting the trees to remember our smirks longer than time itself. But, sometimes, when the breeze tickles my ears, wild and free, I think the night still carries your boyhood voice, calling me back into the woods, whispering of when we thought the world was only as wide as our joined hands, back when we cared not for the fury of the Moon. -

ㅤIn his decent dreams, Jack met him in the crowd, desperate and wild-eyed, tugged him close by the collar in front of wings and men, uncaring for consequences, and stole his breath with a worried-worn, welcome-back kiss. Hiccup had imagined clutching him like a prize, hoarding him like mythic gold.
ㅤHow he wanted Jack to run to his arms and hug him tight!
ㅤTo hold the chosen by the moon and keep him from the night, to have him in his arms and his arms alone, to count the starlights that made his every hair strand, to lose himself in that playful expression sirens could only dream of having. How he craved for this, how he longed for this, how he loved him.
ㅤNone of that happened.
