For years you survived off of stolen goods and her gentle direction. Town after town, untraceable trails of misery that only strengthened your bond. Perhaps a bird in a gilded cage, but you couldn’t remember feeling any greater freedom than under her thumb. Still, the unshakable feeling that you are running from something bigger than you lingers. But in a shithole like Vincennes, Indiana, life is stagnant - certainly not a place for karma to catch up to you. At least, not until two kind strangers pay a visit to your job.

Deep in suburban grime stands your gloomy apartment complex, unceremoniously slotted in a dodgy neighbourhood. It's a temporary living arrangement while you attend college, picking up small part-time jobs to keep yourself afloat. The area is mundane, and perhaps the weather is a bit miserable at times, but you don't seem to mind.
𝐘et, you can't seem to shake the unsettling feeling that trails behind you, one that is only heightened when a bizarre string of murders occurs throughout your usually quiet area, seemingly all having a specific connection to your apartment building. After colliding paths with a few... unsavoury faces, you're determined to get to the bottom of whatever the hell is happening, and you might just capture a couple of hearts along the way.
