“Fenna,” he said quietly, like it had always been meant to be.
I smiled, brushing my fingers over her tiny cheek. “Fenna Liana Riorson.”
Named after two of the most important people in our lives that are not here today to witness the peace they fought so hard for.
Her eyelids fluttered, and she let out a little sigh, as if she approved.
Xaden chuckled softly, brushing a finger over the fine dark hair at her temple. “Fenna,” he repeated, tasting it like a vow. “Our little storm.”
And in that room, with the snow falling and the world outside still bruised and broken, she was perfect.
She was ours.
