“Yeah – I got it. You want to fuck Blackbeard. We all know.”
“Shhh!” Stede frantically shushes him. “For God’s sake, Lucius, do you have to be so… vulgar about it?”

Summary
"It's okay," Stede says softly, and part of Ed's resolve holding him up snaps like a twig. His expression is so perfect. He's everything Ed has never deserved, and he knows it, and he was a fool to ever believe he could get it. "Ed," he presses, while Ed grips his fingernails into his fists to keep it together. "Ed, I'm so sorry."
"You think you can just come back after what you did?" Ed asks, as coolly as he can manage.
"With repentance in my heart," Stede insists. "With – humility. We've both done things we regret, out of fear, out of, out of strong emotion."
