Seungmin hesitates for a moment, then asks, "Do you have lube?"
Hyunjin doesn't say anything at first, too stunned.
"That's what you want…right?" Seungmin questions, suddenly uncertain.
Hyunjin snaps out of it and nods rapidly. "Yes! Please. Second drawer in my bedside table." Hyunjin pauses too, and makes sure to clarify: "Only if you want to."
"I want to," Seungmin assures him, voice soft but full of conviction. He opens the drawer, pulls out the lube, and inspects the label.
Hyunjin waits. Then he laughs. "Are you reading the directions?"
"Yeah? I mean— it might— I don't know," Seungmin stammers.
Hyunjin is so in love with him. He doesn't think he'll ever recover.
OR: seungmin learns that love isn't perfect or harmless. love is choosing to try again and again and again.

Hyunjin is frozen. “Do you want a different server?”
And here, Seungmin’s mouth flattens into a frown. “No,” he snaps, harsh. “I’m a normal paying customer. Treat me the way you’d treat anyone else.”

Hyunjin’s cheeks turn a light shade of pink. He avoids Seungmin’s eyes even as his hand comes up to cup the side of his neck. His very bare neck. “I forgot.”
“Liar,” Seungmin says with a deep, almost vicious satisfaction. “Attention whore.”
Muffled around a mouthful of food, Changbin pipes up right on schedule, “Hyunjinnie’s too pretty not to pay attention to.”
or: Seungmin wants to bite, Hyunjin wants attention and Changbin just wants to work out in peace.

I tease you, but I know where the line is better than anyone else.
You know what makes it even more annoying? Most people just cross the line, and when they do, I can explode and get some relief from it. I know that you don’t want to take it too far and make me blow up, but you tease me to just below that point… It’s just like a mosquito bite I can’t reach to scratch. I get no relief.

With every brush of his hand, every word he says to charm Jisung’s dad, the way he holds Jisung and the eagerness to spend time together, it gets harder to remember that it’s all just for show. And Jisung hates himself for it, he really does, because that thought he keeps pushing into the abyss of his mind resurfaces every time, empowered by the flame in Minho’s eyes when he looks at Jisung.
