The problem is— as it turns out— Maki is a really normal guy. He’s polite, and clean, and he takes all of Harua’s suggestions in stride. When he comes home late, he’s quiet enough that Harua doesn’t even hear him. He’s kind, and devastatingly sexy, and he’s shirtless more often than not when they’re home. He’s a good roommate.
Harua wants to destroy him. He can’t live like this. He’s a principled man, and principled men don’t fall for men that rejected them already. That’s humiliating.

“Do I scare you, Maki?” Harua licks his lips. Harua is scared too, scared of what Maki’s answer will be, because either way, Harua knows it’ll end in trouble. He watches Maki study his face, eyes roving to every corner, like he’s taking it all in before he comes to a final answer.
“Yes,” Maki says in finality, his large hand crossing over the car’s console and landing on Harua’s thigh, “You scare me a lot.”
