It was small, barely noticeable if anyone didn’t search for it, but once it captured Deuce’s attention, it was striking, impossible to ignore. His body turned rigid, frozen from the shocking realization.
“Sebek, is that–“ He pointed at it. Everyone paused at his sudden movement but later turned to the direction of Deuce’s finger. As their eyes landed on the item, their mouths fell open and their bodies went to a complete standstill as the same realization struck them all at once.
