Denki has a quirk accident while training with friends, injuring all of them and himself. He finds himself outcasted by everyone he knows. Recovery and forgiveness are long roads, but Denki doesn't plan on quitting anytime soon.
*** 5/29/2025: I am currently going through and updating some spelling and grammar issues throughout the fic, along with re-wording some things to help with the flow of it. I wrote this fic when I was 17 and in the last two years, my style has changed quite a bit in a way I feel is more comprehensive and I feel like it's time that I edit this. I'm also trying to get back into writing fics and I think this is a good first step. I'm hoping to perfect this as much as possible and make it worthy of the love it's received. At the age of 15, he enrolled in UA high school and found the family he deserved: Class 1-A. The only problem is, they're way too observant for their own good. And with the return of familiar faces from his past and the revival of deadly conspiracies, it doesn't help that Kaminari's perfect, happy life is beginning to crumble around him either.
Or: all of the times Kaminari's classmates accidentally got a hint about his past and the one time they found out.

Kaminari Denki never in his life would’ve guessed that he would be a high school student enrolled at UA, and in the hero course nonetheless. Life was not kind to Kaminari. Being abducted at a young age wasn’t his fault. Being recruited to become an assassin wasn’t his fault. Enduring years of tireless bouts of training wasn’t his fault. Killing hundreds upon hundreds of victims wasn’t his fault.
At least that’s what he tells himself at night.
Kaminari is determined to bury his past and leave it far behind him. But when you’re in a course full of hero hopefuls, secrets don’t tend to stay secrets.
Tl;dr: Kaminari Denki was part of an organization that trained children to become assassins. When he runs away, determined to start anew, he’s almost successful. But fate has other plans in store for this class idiot.

It was only supposed to be a road trip.
Eight best friends. Ten days. One cottage. Their teacher’s car.
Then it turned into uncomfortable conversations. Then it was assault (yeah you read that right). Then to property damage. Then to unlawful conduct. Then it turned into anger, frustration and betrayal.
Why did they know NOTHING about Kaminari Denki?
Their teammate. Their classmate. Their best friend. Someone who had been beside them for four years.
They knew what coffee he drank, what music he liked, how badly he did on exams and exactly how annoying he could become after five minutes of boredom. The one person they thought they could look at and just smile at, because hey, there was never a reason to be wary of Kaminari. He was the guy you went to when you had a nightmare and needed company.
But what about his family?
His childhood?
The people who seemed to know him when they didn’t?
Nothing.
What can go wrong on a simple road trip consisting of 8 best friends stuffed into their teacher’s car to a rural town on a random summer break?
The answer, if you hadn’t guessed, is absolutely everything.
