Of course. How poetic.So on-the-nose it makes his stomach turn.
He can’t even bring himself to clean the wound properly, can’t press the cotton pad with wound solution to the edges without his hands seizing.Bullseye thinks maybe he’s gone mad — is going mad — and his chest tightens with the thought. Breathing becomes a fight, he feels like he’s choking.
This doesn’t feel like the freedom madness once promised back when he used to dream, beg for it to have his thoughts cut off at the root.
Anything to stop the rot that kept eating away at him from the inside out, carving its own wounds. He still hasn’t figured out how to plug those holes.
But John somehow has.
